The InSect: 2017–2026

After nine years, The InSect has officially disbanded due to creative differences.

We formed in May 2017 with a vision to create dark, uncompromising goth post-punk - and over nearly a decade we overcame lockdowns, metamorphosed into UnPop via two EPs ("Cracks", "Dark Places") along with a collection of stonking singles and videos to eventually produce our first - and last - 2026 album, "As It Ever Was".

We've played so many shows around the UK, and shared stages with some incredible artists. Along the way we survived more lineup changes, a global pandemic, and personal challenges than we ever anticipated - but we also built something to be proud of.

Our deepest thanks go to:

• The fans who came to gigs, bought our records and proved we were alive.
• The promoters who gave us opportunities and believed in our sound.
• The engineers, producers, and technicians who helped us bring our vision to life.
• Everyone who supported, shared, and championed what we were trying to do.

It's been a hell of a ride. Thank you.
